  • House GOP's bill feels like abuse to workers

    Before leaving for the summer recess, members of the House of Representatives passed the Stop Government Abuse Act, H.R. 2879, allowing senior executives to be placed on leave without pay without due process; capping monetary awards at five percent; and authorizing the recording of any official interaction between a federal employee and member of the public, without the consent of the employee. The Federal-Postal Coalition spoke out against this legislation, stating, "While each of these bills may have a superficial appeal, taken together their malicious intent is transparent."
