Federal Managers Association

Press Release

  • AGENCIES COMMENT ON SEQUESTRATION IMPACT - February 27, 2013
  • Unless President Barack Obama and Members of Congress are able to reach an agreement on means to avoid sequestration, federal employees face deep, across-the-board cuts starting on March 1, 2013. Many federal agencies are considering unpaid furloughs throughout the federal workforce beginning in April to combat these cuts.

In order to keep the federal workforce informed as to what federal agencies previously announced on how furloughs and sequestration will be handled, Government Executive compiled a report on official statements, press releases, and employee information from agencies and departments as it becomes available.
