She holds an undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts from St. Joseph College, a master's degree in Human Resources Management, and a certificate in Total Quality Management, from Marymount University, and is all but dissertation (ABD) in the General Psychology Doctoral Program at Walden University, with a specialization in online teaching. With more than 30 years of experience in a variety of business settings, to include for profit, nonprofit, and HR outsourcing, she is regarded as an innovative HR/HRD strategic leader, with expertise in organizational effectiveness, change management, project management, executive coaching and mentorship programs, and business research and analytics. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to continuous quality improvement and lifelong learning.

Managing the Workforce with Analytics is becoming more critical and impactful today. The Internet of Things (IOT) is changing the landscape of technology. IOT is not just a technology for "appliances" to talk to one another. IOT will also revolutionize how "big data" is analyzed and the way that leaders will review Analytics. The analytics will be real time and updated as there are changes. Today, we are just starting to see this on a partial basis. Within several years, IOT will allow managers to have up to date information instantaneously. So, what are the implications for the workforce today and how do we get there?

Presenter: Dr. Curlee

Dr. Curlee is a veteran of establishing and running multi-billion dollar portfolios, projects and program management offices, tackling complex, international programs and projects by bringing diverse parties together to attain shared goals. She has done this for various Fortune 500 companies. Wanda is a program management leader experienced in global markets, government projects and highly complex IT, information systems, and managed services projects. Dr. Wanda Curlee is an Associate Professor at American Public University.

Dr. Curlee is active with the Project Management Instituteís certification and standards teams and has presented at several North American and Research congresses. Most notable is she serves on the core team for the 4th edition of the Program Standard, the core team for Requirements Management Practice Guide, and she sat on the team that developed the latest PMI certification, Portfolio Management Certification (PfMP).


Dr. Curlee is an accomplished author. She has published three books. Two delve into the area of complexity theory and one is on virtual PMOs. Wanda has a chapter in two of Dr. Levineís edited books on program management and portfolio management. She published an article in the PM Journal. She earned four PMI credentials: PfMP, PgMP, PMP and PMI-RMP. Dr. Curlee is the mother of three children who have served or currently serve in the US Military.

Neuroscience in Leadership

Historically, the training and development field has focused on how the behavioral sciences influences an individualís performance. However, recent studies have highlighted how the cognitive sciences can shape the manner in which an employee may alter the thought process around a particular topic. During this webinar, we will explore how cognitive psychology can assist us with improving performance and leadership in the workplace. Special emphasis will be placed on how neuroscience techniques can be utilized to assist leaders and teams with change management issues.
