Government Shutdown News and FMA Efforts
The partial government shutdown ended late on January 25, 2019. Each employee should refer to their own agency for communications and guidance on resumption of duties.
As the clock struck midnight on December 21, 2018, funding lapsed for many federal departments and agencies, resulting in a partial government shutdown. Since then, the Department of the Treasury, Department of Agriculture, Department of Homeland Security, Department of the Interior, Department of State, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce and Department of Justice have been under shutdown procedures with workers either being furloughed or required to work without pay. The Federal Managers Association (FMA) created this page to provide links and resources for federal employees affected by the shutdown, as well as FMA efforts to end it and other important information.
FMA will update this page regularly to keep FMA members informed through this trying time.
