• Pentagon Begins Enrolling Civilians in New Personnel System

  The Pentagon began enrolling a limited number of Department of Defense (DOD) civilians in a new personnel system, New Beginnings, on April 1. Approximately 14,000 DOD employees will participate in the first phase of the rollout, with another small batch scheduled to begin participation in October 2016. The large-scale shift of DOD employees will begin in April 2017. All 750,000 DOD employees are slated to be in New Beginnings by 2018.
