  • Bill boosting federal sick leave for disabled vets advances

    On Tuesday, January 27, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee favorably reported the Wounded Warrior Federal Leave Act (H.R. 313). The bill, an FMA initiative which would provide leave up front to newly hired disabled veterans to the federal workforce, next goes to the full House floor for consideration. Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX), a lead cosponsor of the legislation, described it as "one I think we can all agree on."
