  • More Officials Dock Their Pay in Solidarity With Feds -- FEEA to Benefit - April 5, 2013
  • Government Executive Reports Leaders Donating to FEEA

As an FMA member, you should know that FMA's National President, Patricia Niehaus, sits on the board of the Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund, better known as FEEA. FEEA is the only non-profit organization devoted solely to helping civilian federal and postal employees. I thought you would be interested in this story reported in Government Executive noting an increasing number of officials volunteering to donate a portion of their pay to show solidarity with federal employees who are facing furloughs and continued pay freezes. I am pleased to say that many of them are choosing to give their donations to FEEA.

Please read the Government Executive article here.

While this may be a small gesture, it is good to see leaders showing solidarity with federal employees -- especially since FEEA, a charity FMA has long supported, and through which we run the FMA-FEEA Scholarship Program, is the beneficiary.

Thank you for all you do each and every day!

    Sincerely yours,

    Todd V. Wells
    Executive Director
