    Finalists for the 2016 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals (better known as “Sammies”) were announced at a breakfast in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, May 3. The Sammies, annually recognize some of the best of the best men and women in public service. In this article, Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Acting Director Beth Cobert and Partnership for Public Service president and CEO Max Stier cite the stories of a few of this year's nominees.
