- HOUSE PASSES ADMIN LEAVE REFORM BILL - April 27, 2016
House Approves Administrative Leave Overhaul

On Tuesday, April 26, the House of Representatives unanimously passed the Administrative Leave Reform Act (H.R. 4359) which seeks to curb the misuse of admin leave. A 2014 Government Accountability Office report stated that the federal government spent more than $3 billion on federal pay on administrative leave between fiscal years 2011 and 2013 despite a lack of uniform standards. FMA worked with committee staff on both sides of the aisle on language that was adopted by amendment to H.R. 4359. The Senate is considering a separate administrative leave reform measure.
