IRS REFORM BILLS CLEAR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - April 22, 2016
House Passes Six IRS Reform Bills as Agency Releases Filing Season Stats
By Charles S. Clark, Government Executive
The House of Representatives passed a series of bills aimed at reforming the IRS. Critics of the legislation call it unnecessary micromanagement, and urge Congress to provide resources to the agency to allow it to carry out its Congressionally-mandated responsibilities. While it is unknown how the Senate will respond to this action, President Obama has voiced opposition to all of the bills and threatened to veto one as passed by the House.
