Obama Threatens to Veto Bill 'Compounding' IRS Budget Cuts

The House of Representatives will consider four bills targeting IRS reform this week. President Obama opposes all four bills, and has threatened to veto one of them, which would repeal the IRS' ability to spend the user fees it collects without authorization from Congress. The other bills would impact bonuses, prohibit the IRS from rehiring former employees who were fired for misconduct, and prevent the IRS from hiring new employees considered "seriously tax delinquent."
