DHS Allowed Employees to Stay on Paid Leave for Years While It Investigated Misconduct

A Government Accountability Office (GAO) report released recently shows more than 100 employees at the Department of Homeland Security spent more than a year on administrative leave between 2011 and 2015. These latest figures further illustrate the need for administrative leave reform, which FMA continues to support, working with a bipartisan group of members in both the House and Senate on legislative fixes.
