• Pentagon Institutes Civilian Hiring Freeze

  The Pentagon has enacted a hiring freeze for civilian positions within the the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Agencies and Field Activities. The freeze, which took effect on March 20, is part of an overall effort to reduce staff at DOD headquarters by 25 percent.
