Senate Panel Approves Bill Limiting Administrative Leave

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee approved the Administrative Leave Act of 2016 (S. 2450) on Wednesday, February 10. FMA endorsed this bipartisan legislation, which makes reforms and brings uniformity to the use of administrative leave. Its current use has been questioned and a 2014 report by the Government Accountability Office stated that administrative leave cost the government $3.1 billion between 2011 and 2013.
