  Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Acting Director Beth Cobert appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Thursday, February 4, for a confirmation hearing. Senators asked her about OPM's response to the data breach announced last year, the new office to handle background investigations, and employee engagement. The committee is scheduled to vote on her confirmation on Wednesday, February 10.
