• SEQUESTRATION TO BE DELAYED AGAIN

  Because the Bipartisan Budget Act, P.L. 114-74, lowered spending levels for defense funding, the Congressional Budget Office commented that sequestration is effectively delayed for another year. “By CBO’s estimate, the defense cap will shrink by $54 billion each year, a cut that amounts to 8.9 percent in 2018 and slightly smaller percentages in subsequent years.”
