• Republican Senators Want to Expand VA Firing Authority to the IRS

  Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), along with several cosponsors, introduced legislation last week that would expand the firing authority of the Internal Revenue Commissioner for senior executives at the Internal Revenue Service. The legislation is similar to legislation Congress passed in the summer of 2014 affecting senior executives at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
