- Survey: Americans Don’t Trust Government Overall, View Civil Servants Positively - June 7, 2023

A new survey assessing trust in government found that overall, Americans do not trust the federal government. However, people view individual agencies and civil servants much more positively and many can recall positive interactions when dealing with government employees or receiving government services. The Partnership for Public Service led the “State of Trust in Government” survey and report. The Partnership says its research shows that “while the federal government faces challenges in improving its public image, the fact that some of its significant components are viewed positively creates an opportunity.”
