  President Barack Obama will not recommend a switch to a chained Consumer Price Index (CPI) in his Fiscal Year 2015 budget proposal next month. However, White House spokesman Josh Earnest stated a switch to chained-CPI is still on the table. The President included chained-CPI in his FY14 budget request.
