  • Feds sail smoothly toward a 2014 pay raise

    This past August, President Barack Obama called for an across-the-board pay raise for federal employees at one percent starting on January 1, 2014. But as similar action happened the year before to no avail, those in the federal workforce waited patiently for congressional approval before celebrating an end to the three year pay freeze. As the House will not return to Washington until next year, feds can rest assured they will see this modest increase.
