Army allows back pay for civilians who took extra furlough days

Due to the reduction of furlough days, some civilians within the Department of Army took more than the required six furlough days. The Army is providing back pay through substituting paid vacation days. At this time, only Army civilians can benefit from this, but the Department of Defense is examining extending it to all military departments.
