• IRS ANNOUNCES ANOTHER CANCELED FURLOUGH DAY - August 8, 2013

• IRS cancels another furlough day

  Due to cost cuts throughout the agency, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced the scheduled furlough day August 30 will be canceled for all IRS employees. IRS canceled its previous furlough day on July 22 as well. Acting Commissioner Danny Werfel commented, "we have made substantial progress in cutting costs. I greatly appreciate everyone’s help in this critical effort."
