• FMA APPLAUDS CONFIRMATION OF DR. JEFF PON AS OPM DIRECTOR - March 8, 2018
• Alexandria, VA – The U.S. Senate confirmed Dr. Jeff Pon as Director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) late Tuesday, March 7. Below is Federal Managers Association (FMA) National President Renee Johnson's statement on his confirmation:
  
  
  "I applaud the Senate voting to confirm Dr. Jeff Pon as OPM Director. FMA supported his nomination and is pleased with this Senate action. OPM has not had a Senate-confirmed director since July of 2015 – more than two and a half years. With his background, including previous experience at OPM, Chief Human Capital Officer at the Department of Energy, and other positions, Dr. Pon has the qualifications to provide the necessary guidance and leadership at OPM. We wish him success and look forward to working together.”
